Black Swan

I've just started researching a feature on ballet related fashion influenced by the release of Black Swan. Having done about 15 minutes of research I can confirm that the costumes (and make-up) are absolutely stunning - a fact that's not at all surprising when you discover that Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte fame are behind many of them (the actual swan costumes and much of the knitwear to be precise). Anyway, it's not the actual feature that's bothering me- more the film. Those who know me well (or have ever been to the cinema with me) know that I am the world's biggest scaredy cat, and can't watch anything vaguely scary or violent or spooky. Just watching the trailer has had me quaking in my pointe shoes, and I'm booked in for a screening of the real thing on Monday...wish me luck!

  1. Hi Sisi G
I am loving the scary evil-ness of this films previews; can't wait to see it and see it translated to fashion trends on the high street; and with Rodarte as an influencer it's sure to be better than the last time tutus were envouge with mini-goth girls. Maybe it will filter into Interior trends too? silks and pale powder colours perhaps?
