The early bird catches the Lanvin.....I hope!

God it's cold outside! I don't know what's wrong with me these past few days but I keep forgetting just how cold it is and going out dressed for Spring (ie. flimsy culottes and little jackets!). After very nearly losing a couple of fingers to frostbite this afternoon (fingerless gloves really not cutting it), I've decided to take full advantage of my freelance status and work from under my duvet all day tomorrow!

Even the icy weather can't dampen my excitement for the Lanvin for H&M (or Lanvin HEARTS H&M as I like to call it) launch tomorrow though. Like most of the fashion world I've become slightly obsessed with this collaboration - even going so far as to call it 'The best designer/ High street collaboration EVER' in a piece I wrote for MSN (if you haven't yet read it click here).

As if the beautiful clothes and crazy sexy cool ad campaign weren't enough, last week Alber threw a massive chi chi party in NY and put on one of the most exciting, playful and beautiful catwalks I've ever seen. Everything about it is just fabulous - from Anna Dello Russo walking, to the sensational styling (having seen this I am now obsessed with wanting red polka dot and pink leopard print tights, and utterly convinced that I need the entire collection).

So sit back with a cup of hot chocolate and witness fashion at it's very best....

...Oh, and don't forget to set your alarms for the morning, as for one day only the only bird catches the Lanvin!

Ella ella ella, eh eh eh....

Another brilliant day (shoot was AMAZING - can't wait for you all to see it!)...apart from the bloody shitty weather that is! Does anyone know at what stage rain qualifies as Monsoon?!

I don't usually like being outshone, but when I saw Lia's umbrella it immediately brought a smile to my face, even though it made me slightly ashamed of my leopard-print Primark number (although I was totally rocking the double leopard with my trolley too)! Lovely Lia (who's an artist - I don't know much about Art, but her work looks amazing - check out her website) got both her brolly and fab vintage cardi from Spitalfields. Her top tip is to go on a Thursday for the best stalls and bargains! A tip I'll most definitely be following....see ya there!

p.s. totally didn't notice at the time, but how hilare are the smurf-a-bee oompa loompa's in the background - CLASSIC!

Ding ding ding - all change!

Long time I hear you cry! Last time you did this you promised it wouldn't happen again. I know, I know, but this time it really has been exceptional circumstances; for not only have I left my job to go freelance, BUT I'm also moving house - all in the space of 3 days...yes, one life changing event per week simply isn't enough for me! So, I hope you'll be able to forgive me, and that you've kept yourselves amused reading old posts and watching the footie!

It's been a long, hot, emotional week, but here are some things that made me smile and filled my heart with joy...

Here I am giving a masterclass in how NOT to pose. I was the office fire marshal (oh yes - many strings to my bow!), and as if by magic (and much to everyone's amusement) on my last day we had a fire drill. Now, when I got dressed in my glorious Zambian jumpsuit yesterday morning it hadn't occurred to me that by midday I'd be accessorising with a hi-vis vest. Having said that I have to say I think it kinda works. On this occasion I decided to simply knot it - in the past I've belted, but I thought it might be a bit much this time. Anyway - all of this was enough to get me a shout out on Graziadaily - beyond flattered!

My recent (Marc by) Marc Jacobs obsession continues with my lovely leaving gift from work. It's an absolute beast of a wallet, with space for about 20,000 credit cards. I have none, but my Nandos, Nectar and Boots cards are all now most comfortable and accessible!

My darling Nompas (complicated PJ - sorry!) brought me this phenom Tatty Devine necklace. I like to think of them as wings of freedom - v fitting! Thank you Nompas!

How cute is this! My fabulous Editor brought me this slightly mental Sonia by Sonia Rykiel bag as a farewell gift. I've been wanting a new cross-body bag for a while now, and it's made from THE softest silkiest Nylon - mucho snuggly! I heart.

What I'll be wearing AW10/ My-Wardrobe.com press day

I popped into the My-Wardrobe.com press day last night after work to take a peak at all the goodies they have in store for us for next season. Despite the fact that it was like a Krispy Kreme giveaway at a fat fighters meeting as eager bloggers and weary fashionistas all squeezed into the tiny pristine My-Wardrobe townhouse (note to self, never attend a press day after work hours) I’m jolly happy I did, as their buyers have once again excelled themselves. Apologies for the slightly wonky photography (you know it’s not my strong point), but here’s my AW10 My-Wardrobe wishlist….ahhh…..

p.s. Big love to the gorgeous Lauren and always-fabulous Anthony for always showing me love, Sisi G xx

Sonia by Sonia Rykiel
Says what it does on the jumper.

See by Chloe
I’m quite obsessed with pumpkin shaped bags right now - I just love their slouchy laid-back air, and this one also has a long across-the-body strap, so gets extra points.

Love Moschino
When wouldn’t I wear this? Black, tick. Gold, tick. Moschino, tick. It’s just fricking ticking man!

Merle O’Grady
How had I not heard of Merle O’Grady before? Yes, shame on Sisi G! I’m all over these earrings….as soon as they hit they’re mine!

Halston
For once I may have chosen my winter coat before Spring – Hallelujah! I brought a hooded black number this year, and sensible belted grey one the year before, so I’m thinking I’m allowed a slightly impractical red Halston coat for AW10 yeah??

Ash
When I first saw Ash’s wedge healed trainers last year I was embarrassed to admit I liked them. I do though, and these bad boy buckle versions are even hotter. Want.

Mulberry
So shock horror gasp I don’t own a Mulberry bag. I have a Mulberry/ GAP one, but I’m never convinced that really counts. I feel this leopard print Alexa may be the answer to my Mulberry dreams though…Mmmmm….

Forrest & Bob
Introducing what I believe may be the perfect tee. So simple. So sexy. So mine.

McQ, Minx, and the most fashionable nails ever!

And here they are - fab aren't they! I got them done today at the McQ press day and am utterly besotted. I’ve been desperate to get my nails ‘minxed’ for a couple of months now, and it was well worth the wait. Minx is the new nail craze from where else but the US of A. Basically instead of painting your nails with varnish they just apply a heated strip of film and then shape it round your nail. Not only is it super-quick and easy to do, but there’s none of that pesky waiting around for your nails to dry, they last just as long as nail varnish, and most importantly, because it’s a film you can get loads of crazy patterns and metallics, which as you know is right up my street! Sadly the McQ were specially made for the press day (how super-glam fashwan is that!) so i’m just gonna have to enjoy them while they last. I’m 100% definitely getting multi-coloured neon leopard print next time though!

Talking of leopard print I totally fell in love with this fantastic McQ denim leopard print (noticing a theme?!) biker-esque jacket at the press day. It’s properly high-end trash-tastic (the best type of trash fyi – Lanvin neon leopard print = case in point), and apparently everyone was going mad for it (although that could have just been the pr trying to be nice)! Either way I don’t care because I think it’s perfect – this picture doesn’t even do it justice (it would look much better on me than this ‘interesting’ looking model)! It’s shot straight to the top of my lust-ooh-meter this week - I’m thinking it’s scoring about a 7.5 – mmm mmm mmm indeed!
